Founded in October of 1929, the Poodles Hanneford Tent is one of the oldest and most successful tents in the nation.

Serving the greater Wheeling area, we have raised approximately 1.5 million dollars for area charities including nearly $400K in the last decade alone. In 2015, we were recently recognized by Governor Earl Ray Tomblin with the Governor’s Service Award through Volunteer West Virginia, the State’s Commission for National and Community Service. This prestigious award honors outstanding individuals and groups involved in solving social issues through volunteer service. Winners are ineligible to be nominated again for a period of ten years.

In recognition of our 90th anniversary, we have launched our most ambitious project yet—the 90 for 90 Campaign. This initiative endeavors to raise $90,000 + for local charitable organizations through a combination of our own fundraising events and generous corporate sponsorships. The funds will be distributed at our 90th anniversary celebration gala on Friday, January 17, 2020 at Wheeling Island Hotel–Casino–Racetrack.
