Dan Rice2020-09-15T18:32:01-04:00

The Dan Rice Tent of the Circus Saints and Sinners Club of America is an association of civic-minded individuals dedicated to community service through charitable giving. Founded in 1988 under the sponsorship of Pittsburgh’s Bob Prince Tent, for over 30 years we have proudly served the greater Erie area, and have raised over $250,000 for local charities to date.

Our Purpose

Each year we undertake several community projects, all with a three-fold purpose: fun, fellowship and fundraising. Our signature events include our annual charity auction, golf outing and steak fry, and our annual picnic.

Our Namesake: Dan Rice

Dan Rice was an American entertainer of many talents—most famously as a clown—who was pre-eminent before the American Civil War. Rice had a profound effect on the circus as an art form and was a household name during the height of his career. His innovations helped change the circus into a spectacle that, at one time, was America’s most popular forms of entertainment. His stunning shows were the first to be known as “the greatest show on earth.”
